Today’s training explores how early developmental deficits and trauma affect the Attachment system of a young child. Supremely when shame is weaponised, we will see how a child’s security can be destroyed, leaving anxiety and self-doubt in its place. We will explore how the invasive and pervasive effects of shame lead to struggles in relationships and personal growth through into teenage and adulthood,
The training will include how to work with Attachment and Shame in the counselling room, including different interventions and creative tools for working with this key area in therapy.
